6.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Sat 10th May 2008

I helped out today at the South Suffolk Show where the Millenium Farm Trust won first prize for the quality of the their stand at the show. Here the prize is presented by Mayor Margaret Charlesworth. I am on the committee of the Millenium Farm Trust www.m-f-t.org.uk. This charity raises money to help people with learning disabilities gain work, and work experience on farms.

Millenium Farm Trust wins 1st prize at Sout Suffolk Show

On 20th April I joined members of the Trust and supporters in an 18.5 mile charity walk from Bury St Edmunds to Clare again Mayor Margaret Charlesworth had joined us for the start of the walk. Cllr Turner (Conservative) and Cllr Eriera-Guyer (Labour) also joined the walk to make this fund-raising effort an 'all party affair'. Nearly £1,000 was raised to support the Charity.
